is a project that was mainly inspired by Grace Jones video performance "A One Man Show".

 

Grace Jones was a bold, ambitious and progressive artist in her time and even though she remained mainly in the same outfit the whole duration of her show, she still managed to navigate herself into so many different personas which matched the emotional complexity of the tracks she was performing.

 

Taking inspiration from her different personalities I came up with an outfit that can change with her personality and mood.

 

I created a transformative, completely upcycled look that can match her songs "Warm Leatherette", "Walking In The Rain", "La Vie En Rose", "Living My Life"and "Pull Up To The Bumper".  An outfit that makes it possible for her to transform into all of her different personas while focussing on the message of being " Bold, Strong and Progressive".
