Nadine Aurin is a Berlin based fashion designer whose concept driven collections explore the intersection of identity, ideology, and power structures. Her work critically engages with social and political realities, often addressing themes such as gender roles, labor, and structural inequality.
Each project begins with a theme a question a tension a structure to dismantle from which the aesthetic and material language of the collection emerges. Her designs translate complex ideas into visual statements, allowing garments to become vessels for dialogue. Whether referencing slaughterhouse uniforms in Nutzmensch or repurposing vintage household textiles in Weib, Aurin’s work explores identity, labor, and power through the lens of fashion.
At the heart of her practice lies a deep appreciation for textiles both as medium and message. She often works with reclaimed materials, traditional techniques, and unexpected contrasts to challenge dominant aesthetics and generate new meaning. Through her label, Aurin aims to create fashion that goes beyond the visual encouraging critical thought and empowering wearers to take a stance.
She collaborates with NGOs and a portion of each collection’s revenue supports organizations aligned with its theme.
The label’s logo is inspired by the Auryn symbol from The NeverEnding Story by Michael Ende, a talisman of protection and self realization. It reflects Aurin’s belief that fashion can carry meaning, agency and the potential to change the narrative.
